Veiled Nude – Study #3a – Copyright 2010 By Dane Dakota
When I photograph nudes, I frequently focus on the effect light has when it travels through something else – venetian blinds, leaves, or, in this case, a piece of lace. The fabric causes the light to shape itself into patterns that become mirrors of the cloth’s design. They add some element of mystery. They sprinkle light and create shadows in different ways than does unfiltered sunlight.
